RealFoundations Helps IREI Launch New Institute
DALLAS, December 20, 2017
RealFoundations announced today its role as Founding Strategic Sponsor of the newly formed Institute for Real Estate Operating Companies (iREOC) initiated by Institutional Real Estate, Inc. (IREI), the largest global media firm dedicated to the institutional real estate and infrastructure marketplaces. iREOC’s members are leading institutional investors, investment managers and real estate operating companies (REOCs) all working towards a common goal of improving industry operations to form more profitable and productive partnerships. iREOC is dedicated to connecting, engaging and empowering its members to maximize their performance in REOC partnership investments, individually and collectively.
Through collaborative and interactive networking and educational forums, RealFoundations, alongside IREI and iREOC council members, will help identify and address the challenges many REOCs encounter when seeking engagement with institutional investors and investment managers. In this role, RealFoundations will have the opportunity to engage with all organization members, providing thought leadership on information exchange methods and guidelines, proven industry practices, and collaboration methods.
“As investors increasingly seek ways to exercise more control and create value at the asset-level, and real estate operating companies seek new sources of capital, RealFoundations sees iREOC serving a valuable and previously unfilled role of facilitating connections,” said John D’Angelo, Enterprise Managing Consultant, RealFoundations. “And rather than stopping at helping to establish connections, iREOC will further help facilitate communications and the exchange of information, such that iREOC members don’t have to figure out how and what information to exchange. RealFoundations is proud to be a part of this important organization and we see our role as a great opportunity to help real estate run better.”
This exclusive membership organization is designed to maintain a high ratio of institutional capital providers to select REOCs seeking equity partnership investment capital, promoting a collaborative atmosphere for investor engagement. Member benefits include leadership recognition in the investor community, opportunities to build stronger relationships among member counterparts at the iREOC Annual meetings, first-hand industry insight through the IREI Market Intelligence Service, recognition in various IREI publications, and discounted priority registrations to IREI’s flagship annual conference, Visions, Insights, & Perspectives (VIP) Americas, as well as other events.
“As part of the IREI platform, iREOC is uniquely qualified to bring together leading professionals from across the global institutional real estate investment community to help advance the institute’s mission and goals,” said David “Mac” McWhorter, Executive Director, iREOC. “Our founding Board of Governors is comprised of many of the industry’s most respected institutional investors, investment managers and real estate operating companies. As the recognized leader of operational solutions in the real estate industry, we are proud to have RealFoundations as a Founding Strategic Sponsor of iREOC. In collaboration with RealFoundations, we held a very engaging Board of Governors kickoff meeting last month in Chicago. We are now planning for iREOC’s Annual Meeting that will be in Park City, Utah in May 2018 and are actively recruiting select new members.”
